By downloading, accessing, or using Full Disclosure, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Full Disclosure is operated by House of MaRa.
Full Disclosure is a nonpartisan civic-transparency application that aggregates and presents publicly available government and campaign-finance data, including congressional voting records, legislation, stock trades disclosed by members of Congress, lobbying filings, campaign finance information, and related civic data. The App is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
The App presents information drawn from third-party and government sources, including the U.S. Congress, the Federal Election Commission, the Senate Office of Public Records, the Federal Register, and other public data providers. We make reasonable efforts to present this information accurately and to keep it current, but:
We do not create, control, or independently verify the underlying source data, and we are not responsible for errors, omissions, delays, or inaccuracies originating from those sources.
Information is provided "as is" and "as available." Nothing in the App constitutes legal, financial, electoral, or professional advice.
You should independently verify any information before relying on it for any decision.
Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
The App offers an optional paid subscription ("Full Disclosure Plus") that unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly and an annual basis.
Payment. Subscriptions are purchased through your Apple App Store account. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Current pricing is displayed in the App at the time of purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price for your selected plan.
Managing and canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds; refund requests must be made through Apple.
Changes to pricing or features. We may change subscription pricing or the features included in Plus. Any price change will apply only to subsequent billing periods, and material changes will be communicated as required by the App Store.
You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Scrape, harvest, republish, resell, or redistribute data from the App in bulk, or use the App to build a competing dataset or service.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or related systems, or interfere with or disrupt the App's operation.
Use the App to harass, defame, or harm any individual, including any public official whose information appears in the App.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App except as permitted by law.
The App, including its design, software, text, graphics, and branding, is owned by House of MaRa and protected by intellectual property laws. The underlying government and public data is not owned by us and remains in the public domain or subject to its original source's terms. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
The App relies on third-party services and data providers. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE DATA PRESENTED IS COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOUSE OF MARA AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) TWENTY U.S. DOLLARS ($20).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless House of MaRa and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You may stop using the App at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual property) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
